3008. CUFF LINKS SETS (MALES). The officer or SNCO gold service cuff links sets (officers have superimposed sterling silver, rhodium-finished Marine Corps emblems; SNCOs have gold-plated Marine Corps emblems superimposed), concave gold or gold-plated cuff links, and MSC and above command level cuff links may be worn at the wearer’s option with the with the male French cuff khaki shirt and dress shirts.

READING THE SCOPE

The details that matter.

The command level
MSC means Major Subordinate Command. The provision names cufflinks representing commands at that level and above. A unit’s military affiliation alone does not establish that it falls within this category.
The shirt
The paragraph specifies male French-cuff khaki shirts and dress shirts. The male Service B illustration, plates 49–50, also notes French-cuff shirts and unit-specific cufflinks. Read that caption alongside paragraph 3008’s command-level language.
The item
